Trë Vët Kez (/trɛ/ /vɛt/ [amber] [level (degree; stage)]) is a subtropical Town located in the Fle̜költyo Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Trë Vët Kez is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Trë Vët Kez was founded by Galenasseth Zulvarash, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Trë Vët Kez has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 6°C (42°F). Trë Vët Kez receives an average of 150 cm/y (59 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Trë Vët Kez covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4702 m (15426 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Trë Vët Kez was founded durring the early 13th century in winter of the year 1210, by Galenasseth Zulvarash. The establishment of Trë Vët Kez was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Trë Vët Kez's construction back out of the project. Galenasseth Zulvarash pushed on reguardles, and Trë Vët Kez was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Trë Vët Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Trë Vët Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Trë Vët Kez is buildings folow an organic layout of narrow paverstone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Unfortuantly, these timber-based walls are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Trë Vët Kez shows Trë Vët Kez as a den of corruption. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is. The town has another layer to it as well. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Trë Vët Kez places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual, or at least, faking it.

Civic Infrastructure

Trë Vët Kez has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Trë Vët Kez. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Trë Vët Kez's parks.

Trë Vët Kez has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Trë Vët Kez.

Trë Vët Kez has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Trë Vët Kez has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Trë Vët Kez has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Trë Vët Kez's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Trë Vët Kez possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Trë Vët Kez's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.

Trë Vët Kez has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Trë Vët Kez's natural decorations nor waterways.

Trë Vët Kez has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Trë Vët Kez has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

The locals are convinced that there is some terrible threat against them working from within their society. It may be a matter of dark sorcerers, foreign spies, traitorous neighbors, shape shifting monsters, or some other hidden evil. This evil may be a recent fear, or it may be an inherited peril they’ve always had to guard against. The danger itself may or may not exist, or if it exists it may not justify the steps being taken.

Trë Vët Kez's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

In Trë Vët Kez snow is warm to the touch and does not melt within city limits. Also it only happens during summer.

The Almiraj near Trë Vët Kez are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Trë Vët Kez's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves consuming a local toxin to channel Illusion energies of tier 2 via speaking in tongues.

It differs from Standard Imperial censuses in that many of Tom's citizens, regardless of culture, work in more than one occupation or hold more than a single job.
